Day 4 - 20 March 2017 ( Chiayi County - Taichung )
As I mention from the previous post, Applause in the Mountain 掌聲響起民宿 is the best villa I've lived in....why? is because......ready to be amazed~~~
I wish to wake up every morning with this view from my window
Chilly and cold everyday
Misty and fresh
and the girl refuse to wake up early for the sun rise...so we missed the opportunity
Scene from our balcony
Aunty Uncle harvesting tea and other crops early in the morning

Chiayi Square Bamboo Forest 四方竹林,嘉義縣竹崎鄉
After 1 hour of bus ride, we arrive to a human-less place. An unknown place, a forest...
And there a staircase leading us down deep into a place which is full of bamboo
what so special about these bamboos....when we see it with our naked eye, it is like normal bamboo. It looks smooth and round. But when we touch it with our hand, surprisingly it is not round, it have some slight smooth edges which makes it squarie...so this is how the bamboo forest came from.
Keep following the staircase for 3 minute i guess, and we had arrived to our next destination.
Fenqihu Train Station 奮起湖火車站
Playing on the old train track...actually, old train still runs on these track, but only for selective time.
The train station
The station plate....a must capture place...it marks us has been here
I can stay in the house up the hill for forever...the scene is so nice

Next place, Fenchihu Old Street....basically a wet market, smelly and slipery...becareful when you are here....My tour guide tell us that the famous item here are the
- ''BASTARD EGGS / 混蛋'' which is a combination of 3 type of eggs in 1 egg ( Salted egg + Century egg + Herbal egg )
- Taiwanese Wasabi / Horse Radish
- Iron Egg
- Aiyu Bing - cold lemoney jelly drink
Taiwan's wasabi....raw ones
The best Ai Yu Bing in the street... 😶 (taste so so only)
The tricoloured egg ''Bastard egg''
Small station to showcase the old train and the history of this station
Ah! I forgot....Before our bus arrive, i went to the 7-11 convenient store and i found this 2 beautiful
It was a boring ride, so our tour guide played this video to cheer us up

Honest opinion...Malaysia d RM5 hawker chicken rice far more tasty than this...(sorry)
Uninformed shopping trip again 💸💸💸
台埔茶葉專賣加工廠 Taiwan Tai Pu Tea Shop
1st, we gotta experience the tea plucking....the person in-charged roughly explain to us, how to pluck and what to pluck but somehow, we cant find much of those baby leaf sprout as they mention, know why? is because this is only an experience farm for tourist to play around and take picture...
Macam yes punya pluck...
anyway, is nice to take picture here, if you know the angle...the other side is highway and the other part is human or maybe houses
Alishan d Guniang and Laoniang...😂😂😂
RIP dead cricket |
And a group photo before entering the building beside the tea garden...Which it means, shopping and money flying time...
before going into the room, we do experience how to dry tea as well. But all end so fast, i mean from the tea garden to the tea making session, we only spend 10 minutes or so...they rush and hush us because there's lot's of tourist buses coming in and also people of course...anyway, the main purpose of this place of course is not about plucking tea or making tea..is the shopping for their tea products of course.
feels like hidden camera, but it is not, my daughter is playing with my camera
Anyway, in the room, they do serve crackers, sunflower seed & tea on each table.
They will give us taste their product and what you can do with the product.
Below are picture from random blog post i found on Google...credit to the blog owner.

What attract me is this....guess what....
Cultured drink + Matcha powder...suitable for kids, adults & eldery...
Served in cold...yum...
This is the prioduct they sell. Dried chinese tea leaves & also Matcha powder.
I bough the matcha powder...anyway, we are fans of matcha, i feel is ok to buy it cuz we will use it anyway....
Back to my own photo
tea tasting...the dried tea leaf of course....is cute, like they will 1st pour it in the long cylinder cup, then they took a normal teacup to cover the top, then turn it over which make the tea is remained inside the long cylinder cup. Then how we drink it? slightly remove the cylinder cup, smell the cylinder cup for the best aroma of the tea it self then drink the tea in the normal tea cup...sounds complicated right? but a new experience for us. It was fun anyway.
This tea part is ended, and i found a youtube video on web, you guys may click into it to roughly know what happen here
Next destination, Feng Chia Night market...not much photo was taken. As i call, enjoying the moment, maybe.
Actually, before the night market scrolling, we had went to a steamboat buffet shop to have our dinner. But unfortunately, I FORGET TO CHECK IN and non of us remember the shop name!!!!!Stupid me
Teh Tarik Stall in Taiwan
The only food picture we took...strawberry in cup...haha...only
and is time...back to hotel Talmud Hotel Chains and i forgot that day we had our dinner or not....anyway, after putting away our luggage, we went for a quick walk downstairs which Yizhong Street Night Market is just behind our hotel.
Most of the stall and shop has closed down because actually is already 10pm++ but we still manage to find something to eat by that time
Super Big Chicken Chop...what i notice the different with other Taiwanese chicken chop is....this stall they will apply some kinda sauce onto the chicken instantly after the chicken was bring up from the fryer...
